Weekly Update 07.11.24
Bible Class: Creation Stories. The creation stories of Genesis 1 & 2 present a beautiful picture of creation, humanity, and God and yet they can cause tension for us today because it's not always clear how to read them in light of modern science. Join us on July 28th at 9am in the Glass Chapel for our next Bible Class exploring how we read, understand, and interpret the creation narratives of Genesis 1 & 2. Sign up here.
New Series. The Bible is a wonderful, beautiful, and (if we're being honest) confusing book. It contains some of the greatest stories, moral advice, and life giving wisdom while at the very same time it can be complicated, startling, and hard to understand. What do we do with this wonderfully strange book? How do we read it? How do we engage with it in ways that lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus? In our series, How to Read the Bible, we’re exploring exactly that, how we read the Bible in ways that lead us into deeper relationship with Jesus, self, and one another. We've also compiled additional resources on our blog to help you in your Bible reading journey.
Summer Party. On July 14th we're throwing a neighborhood party! Right after service we'll have food trucks, a bounce house, yard games, and our favorite popsicles from Joy Pops. Invite your friends and family and celebrate with us!
